Cauliflower Crust Pizza

This unbelievably easy homemade pizza is not only delicious, but also healthy! And it’s a perfect food for Friday evenings, when you just want to relax and don’t spend a lot of time in kitchen, but still… serve something excellent for your family/friends or just yourself 🙂

Cauliflower crust pizza

  • Medium sized head of cauliflower, approx  200-300 g
  • 300 g Mozarella cheese, grated (200 g for the crust and 100 g for topping)
  • 100 g Parmesan cheese , shredded (for topping)
  • 100 g pizza sauce or any sauce you like on your pizza
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp dried herbs mix
  • 1/2 tsp salt

  1. Preheat oven to 250C and lay out parchment paper in a large oven tray
  2. Cut cauliflower into chunks, removing the stems
  3. Place into a food processor and pulse it until smooth texture ( if you don’t have a food processor, use a cheese grater)
  4. Put grated cauliflower in a microwave save bowl and microwave for 4 minutes. Remove it from the microwave and let cool down
  5. Place cauliflower in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze ALL the liquid out of it as much as you possibly can. In a large bowl, combine cauliflower, egg, cheese and seasonings. Stir until a dough texture forms

Cauliflower, cheese, seasoning in a bowl
  6. Spread mixture out onto parchment paper and shape a crust howeve you want ( who said, that pizza should be round? 🙂 )

    Pizza crust is formed
  7. Bake for approx 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden
  8. Take the crust out and add your toppings ( I made a simple pizza with cheese and sauce )
  9. Place the pizza back in the oven, but this time use a grill function and bake for about 3-5 minutes or until cheese melts (if your oven don’t have it, just  bake for a little longer time ~ 10 minutes on 180C)

Slice it and enjoy your pizza!
